This beautifully designed resort has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and offers an all inclusive concept. It has a unique blend of buildings designed in Swahili / Zanzibari architecture and enjoys the most spectacular white sand beach on the island. The Royal Zanzibar consists of 80 superior rooms and 16 suites, set in almost 20 acres of beautifully tended tropical gardens.
You may choose to simply relax on the resort, enjoying the warmth of the African sun and the soothing sound of the waves, or you can explore Zanzibar, an island rich in history and culture. The places to see include historic Stone Town, Maruhubi Ruins, Mbweni Ruins, Mtoni Ruins and Kidichi Persian Baths. There are also tours of the spice plantations and the Jozani Forest available.

Not one, but four free-form swimming pools, one of which seemingly flows out to sea and eternity beyond. A Jacuzzi - in which one might wallow or frolic. A state of the art, fully equipped gym for the body and health conscience is also at your disposal. Table tennis, pool table, darts and beach volleyball for those that prefer to be physically challenged and for the less sporty but young at heart patrons, one can shake a leg or do a little jig to the evening entertainment.
Our vibrant animation team begins activities early in the morning, continuing throughout the day and well into the evening. The selection of things to do is equally varied for both children and adults. During the day on the beach, in the swimming pools or around the hotel's grounds, animators prompt guests to participate in a wide range of fun activities and games such as water aerobics, beach volleyball, beach football, darts, and table tennis. In the evenings the team might begin with an early children's disco party and then continue after dinner to steer you through the evening entertainment of traditional dancers, live music or dancing!!
Explore Zanzibar which is rich in History and culture with several places that can be visited to learn more about the people and their way of life; past and present.
